Does the size of the laptop screen matter?

I’ve looked through many laptop reviews and I found that the HP tx2500 is very reasonable priced but the only thing with it is its 12’1 inch screen. My mum said its too small and it’ll bother me. Now I’m confused in choosing between a tablet pc or a regular one. Does the size matter? And is HP tx2500 a right choice for a business school student?

It is probably the most important attribute of a laptop since it determines the size of the computer itself.
Smaller laptops tend to have less performance and inferior ergonomics while bigger laptops are able to have more powerful hardware and tend to have better ergonomics. The 12.1" screen size is probably about as small as you’d want to go in most cases, it’ll result in a very portable computer that’s easy to carry around with you although the smaller screen will be harder to read (though a 12.1" shouldn’t be a problem if you have decent eyesight) and the keyboard is likely to be a bit more cramped than a larger laptop (although it should be something you can get used).
As for a tablet, that basically just means that there’s a stylus and you can write on the screen with it (along with rotate the screen around to be on top of the keyboard), whether that is actually a worthwhile feature to have is another matter (although most tablets are of the convertible type that functions as a decent laptop anyway).
It’s not the size that matters, the lack of size does
i think that size is perfectly fine because if your a student you will probably want to bring you laptop to class, which is much more convenient if you have a smaller 12 inch one, i’d go with the regular one, definitely seems more practical and less able to break.
ideally i’d say a 13.1 is better then a 12.1 though.
Well, it can make a difference, depending on how often you use it really, a larger screen is generally a little easier on the eyes simply as it is easier to see in detail what you are looking at (less straining of the eyes). I know we have a guy at work at the moment who recently moved from a 15.4" laptop to a 12.1" and he has experienced headaches, once we connected him to a docking station and typical flat screen monitor to use while in the office, the headaches have gone. The other thing to think of is with the laptop being smaller, how comfortable will the keyboard be to use? The smaller they get it can compromise this so if you are going to use it a lot then it is worth considering.
The laptop itself would be find as a business school student but I would have a few concerns about the screen and keyboard size for a lot of use. If the money will stretch to it then a seperate monitor, keyboard, docking station would be perfect for when you are back home or wherever you are staying and use it almost like a desktop then just use the small laptop to carry round with you. But, I know students have a lot of expenses, so probably not an option
Good luck with your choices hope this helped a little.
I think that you should get at least a 15 inch screen. The problem with the small screen is that you will constantly need to scroll through the pages while browsing the internet. I think that you should look at this site for new quality low priced laptops.I own two dell laptop and haven’t had any problems with them. Here is the site:

From looking at the hp tx2500 from the hp website I think it is too expensive for what you get I really think you should go for Dell because you get more for less.I would suggest getting an inspiron 1420 from here:

I would also suggest you buy a laptop backpack for more portability.
Hope this was useful.
No its just it just mean how you would use it. Wide screen for video games, 15"inch is the main one you can find and alot too. The tablet PC is made a size near a A4 paper, because its for contracts etc….. as mainly use in A4.
