Looking for a small laptop or netbook? Forget the Asus Eee PC, pick up one of these Aspire One machines from Acer instead.

@ccricers I’d get the Acer one from wal mart with a $40 upgrade, which gives you an extra gb of ram and some other cool stuff
Need some help which netbook should I take?
Acer Aspire D250 ( Win 7 + 250Gb Hdd)
Asus EEE pc 1005HA (Win 7 +160 Gb)
Samsung N110/NC10/N310
What I want to do on it : Play some older games (CSS, Wolfenstein ET ( don’t know if this works), browsing and chat on MSN
THX!
n the same situation as u – trying to decide which to get so far I think I mwill go with the Acer Aspire One… what about u?
I think about taking the N110 with XP and 6 cell battery it goes like 7 hours with Wifi and surfing
the acer doest have that much battery live, but it has 250Gb and win7
But i think i’ll take the N110
See the problem is I live in Belgium so its quite a long and pricy trip to get a laptop =P
BTW the Samsung NC10 cost here 219 Euros with the 6 cell battery
just got one. returned it. it had a faulty harddrive =/
Aspire one is a awsome netbook, i had mine for a while now and its great!

I love my Acer Aspire One Netbook! I got it on sale and it is a great bargain & works great. It has also been easy to use. It is a good computer for a back up to a larger notebook, a teen’s (or anyone) first computer, or anyone on a tight budget,or if you travel alot.
MULTITASKING? USB? ehemmm lol netbook ftw! XD
are there different kinds of this net-book? mine is a lot different and yes im sure its an aspire one
Im suprised people actually pay for those things lol.
this is the best netbook on the market…get with 120 gig hd and 1.5 gig ram + windows xp and your all set for under 300 bucks
is there a firewire on this?
no skype, do deal
there pretty awesome, accept there for internet and work, not for games.
I play many games on mine, it can play some great stuff
nope
Mine is of the first generation ZG5 it’s screen is 8.9 width. I’m very pleased of what this little machines can do, I’m running my movies in H.264/AVC (Advanced Video Coding) for a 712×368 movie very smoothly using VLC 1.0.5, since it has a VGA port I connect it to my 55″ LCD Tv and it looks great. The AAC MP4 audio codec sounds great, so it’s perfect to store a movies library in your house.
@eightbraker You’re actually wrong, if you search for Acer Aspire One Gaming in youtube you can see it can play many different games in mid-low resolution settings. Playing World of Warcraft, Warcraft 3 is a beauty, to install these games I used a 16GB SDHC card, mine Aspire One has two SD Slots so I can run games directly from SD cards without installing on hard drive.
