I need a laptop that I can do presentations with on a weekly basis and has a lot of memory and media software. I will most likely use this PC for college as well so it needs to last for a pretty good while too. I am looking for the budget to be around 0 -0.
This video is the result of training regarding the Kenya top bar hive or KTBH conducted in Jacquesyl Haiti in July of 2009 as funded by USAID and administered through Partners of the Americas. As you can see, the inclusion of stretcher handles onto the KTBH allows it to be easily carried and also facilitates hanging the hive for protection from ants and other pests as well as bush fires—which are often used to clear land where such hives are used. The handles also give you a convenient place to hold comb removed from the hive during hive inspections. If you leave the ends of the hive rectangular as shown here you may have to cut small recesses for the handles to ensure that they are not too far apart for a top bar to straddle. You may want to view some of my other videos on the KTBH for a fuller explanation of its design and use. Suffice it to say here that the width of the top bars, 35 mm for European derived bees and 32 mm for African derived stock, the trapezoidal cross section of the interior and wax guides along the length of the topbars allows bees to build comb with minimal attachment to the sides and bottom of the hive so that the comb can be easily removed for inspection or harvesting. If you find the queen during the transfer you can place her in a screen cage to protect her during the operation. A match box or film canister with holes punched in it large enough for the workers to feed the queen but not so large that she can escape can also be used. In any case …
I was confused when shopping at Walmart/Circuit City today, I just want a travel computer that I can write/do graphics on, that if stolen wouldn’t be the end of me (not that I’d make that easy but it’s happened) and also I’d have my USB 250GB external hard-drive kept separately.
Lightweight, too.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.
I want to buy a laptop and i like the nc10 but when i looked up reviews for it it said it was a netbook. it has a 10“ display but i thought that would be a bit small for a laptop screen. What laptop would be good for me because i am an 11 and want a decent laptop but below £400?

I got this small 160wh, 4 panel solar grid that gets me completely independent from the network grid, through batteries and inverter, I have enough electricity to run my household and my small music Studio (Korg 12V) and PC (12V Laptop). What it takes is the will to survive onyour own grid and think economy when using electricity, the day time is best for working online snice the panels can easely power modem and PC, and at the same time load the batteries. I use 5W low energy light through the inverter for long term lighting, and 12V Neon and 12V halogene light for intensive or short term lighting. I have a small 75W TV and I have to plan what I watch and when, cause of a 3-4 hrs limitation (OK I got back up batteries but they are for emergencies)
